THAT’S RIGHT here he is: America’s big red jolly jingle. Many seem to love but not many believe he’s real.

Santa, or Saint Nicolas, originally came from Turkey. He spread all kinds of miracles, for example he is said to have resurrected 3 youths after being murdered and pickled in a barrel by an inn keeper. His name spread world wide, known as the saint of children,sailors and the hope for the poor, according to History.com.

 The name Santa Claus evolved from Nick’s Dutch nickname, Sinter Klaas, a shortened form of Sint Nickolas. News spread about the Dutch family arriving in America and well the Good old Saint Nick’s legend had spread.

Does Santa actually exist and deliver gifts or coal? A question many people wonder, kids and adults alike.   

Ashton claimed that he was on the nice list and stated, “Yes I believe in Santa Claus because.. apparently [some people believe] Santa isn’t real..but maybe he is real but doesn’t come to your house because you don’t believe in him.”

Edan stated he was on the nice list as well because he leaves chocolate chip cookies for Santa out and carrots for the reindeer.

¨Santa eats the cookies I leave him every time. And also the donuts I leave him for a side snack on the slay. But the main reason I believe in Santa is because he’s Big Red,¨ he stated.

Now Derek, an eighth grade student, said he did believe in Santa because he waits for him at night but falls asleep before he can see him clearly. But when he wakes up he said their presents are always there. 

Now even though many people believe in Santa, dear Saint Nicholas, there are people who don`t.

James Serrano stated he had a spot on the nice list, yet doesn’t believe in Santa.

¨Kind of.. [because] I know Santa isn’t real but there are little kids out there that think ..[he] is so I`m trying to keep the spirit up with the little kids until they are fully middle school teenagers…¨

Sebastian said No, I don’t really believe in magic so like him going down the chimney… It doesn’t make any sense. I do believe in Christmas just not you know Santa.¨

Sebastian might seem correct if people base it on science  like what if that have a chimney, and if they don`t how doesn’t   he fit in other small spots . How could a Big fat man in red fit in such a small space, well some believe the Christmas spirit stops all logic to make it work others believe he may have elves helping with presents but over all there’s no way to prove it.

But since no one can truly prove if he´s really or not. People can believe regardless whether Santa exists or not. 

Pedro Felix also believes Santa wasn’t real because he stated he got coal for Christmas. And that he would continue getting coal but he says he’s a good kid and on the nice list.

And there are probably more students who don’t believe in dear old Saint Nickolas but who know if he’s really real or not. It doesn’t really matter.
