From Mar. 23-26 Southeast Middle School celebrated spring spirit week.

Jeisson Medina said they chose this theme for spirit week because since they didn’t have a main topic that they wanted to focus on they decided to choose topics that students would most likely participate in. They also chose this spirit week because they wanted students to freely express themselves

On Monday students had to wear their favorite jersey but not that many people wore their jerseys because half of the students were 8th graders and they had to take panorama pictures.

Mahrie Tejeda participated in wearing your favorite jersey day. She said “I wore a quince jersey because I wanted to show my school spirit and I wanted my grade to win.”

The grade level that participated the most during spirit week would get an end of the semester celebration.

Tuesday, twin day where students could match with their friends.

Melanie Tejeda said she participated with her best friend because they thought “it was a good opportunity to match”.

Wednesday students had to wear their Disney gear. Most students and staff just wore their Disney headbands.

Rachel Harro said she participated in disney day. She said she wore Disney merch.

Lastly on Thursday students dress up as their favorite teacher.

Genesis Morales said she dressed up as Mr Vargas because he’s her first period teacher. She stated that when he saw her he started to laugh.

Overall this spirit week was successful because most of the students participated.
