Many people like Star Wars because of the action in the movie, the plot, or the characters. People like Star Wars for their own reason, so what does Southeast Middle School think of Star Wars?
May 4 is a holiday that celebrates the Star Wars fans and was created because of the saying ¨May the force be with you¨ sounded similar to May the fourth.
Star Wars had first started all the way back in 1977 when Star Wars (originally just called Star Wars but then later became Star Wars: A New Hope) and people loved it. Due to the success of the first movie which had made 775 million dollars in the world wide box office which made it able to release two more movies called Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
¨My dad had took us to the movies and we saw the first one back in 1977 and that is what I liked and enjoyed it. I like the Story the lines and my favorite character is Anakin Skywalker I just think its great. I always did like the Empire Strikes Back,¨ said Restorative Justice Coordinator Mr. Rios.
It is not just movies that people like. Star Wars also has shows such as The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and a new fan favorite one that was just released called Maul Shadow Lord and there other many star wars shows that people like.
¨I love Star Wars absolutely, I like the spaceships and of the course I like the laser fighting and everything, I learned about it from my older brother he liked watching the movies so I did, I’ve probably twenty or twenty-five years now, my favorite movie from Star Wars is Episode V:Empire Strikes Back and favorite show The Clone Wars,¨ said Mr. Vaca eighth grade English teacher.
The difference between an adult who does like Star Wars for a while and a kid who likes it is the type of Star Wars movies or shows they grew up with. For example the adults grew up with just the original trilogy and had to wait a long time for new projects but a kid now has a bunch of movies and different shows that they could watch if they do not like the original trilogy.
¨Yes I do like Star Wars it is one of my favorite things to watch, I like it because of the battles that happens with the lightsabers and the story of the sith and the jedi, I started liking it when my dad got me to watch it after he showed me the original trilogy which made me wanna watch the rest, My favorite movie is Episode III:Revenge of the Sith and my favorite show The Bad Batch.¨ said by Isaac Hernandez eighth grader
The first ever Star Wars game was released in 1982 which was based on The Empire Strikes Back. Since then, the Star Wars games have gotten better graphics and combat with the most popular Star Wars game ever released was Star Wars Battlefront, released in 2015.

Video games make really good money that people like to buy but other lego games they like buying are licensed lego games, lego Star Wars that has six different games.The Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga being the best selling Lego game. The best selling Star Wars game is Star Wars: Battlefront (2015).
People like Star Wars for many different reasons. Some like it for the movies, others like it for the shows, and some like it for the video games.
