March is a lucky month because of St. Patrick’s Day. Students are wearing green to participate and represent St. Patrick’s Day. 

Sebastian Rodriguez, a seventh grader in DREAMS said, “ Yes I will be wearing green socks and my green shirt “.

People get pinched on St. Patrick’s day because they stand out and get pinched as a punishment.

Alexa Esparza, an eighth grader in DREAMS said, “ I will be wearing green on St.Patrick’s Day because I don’t want to get pinched”.

Samantha Razan, a sixth grader in DREAMS said, “ I will be wearing green because it’s a way to get out of the dress code.”

 Students at Southeast  took advantage of getting out of dress code by wearing green on one of the days of spirit week.

Some students at Southeast consider St.Patrick’s Day a holiday because they celebrate it with their family and others don’t because not many people celebrate it.

Douglas Ruiz, an eighth grader in DREAMS said, “ Yes because the holiday is fun to me and my family.”

 Some traditions people celebrate are eating corned beef and cabbage, and enjoying Irish music and drinks.

Itzayana Bojoquez a sixth grader in DREAMS said,“I consider it a holiday because it’s important especially to the Irish people since they made it a tradition and stuff.”

Irish-Americans celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by celebration of Irish heritage, identity, and pride.

Matthew Duran, an eight grader in DREAMS said, “No, because no one celebrates it.”

Southeast really doesn’t have Irish students.
