Students ran a 15k run on Sunday November 16th at Woodley Park.
A 15k run is a 9.3 mile run. This time students had to run 3 laps that were 3.5 miles
The weather was 58 degrees and rainy.
8th grader Melanie Tejeda said, “ The 15k run was okay because it was raining and it was very cold as I ran so it felt good.”
SRLA is a sport that students and teachers can do together and sign up for a the beginning of the school year
7th grader Lily Ruiz said, “I joined SRLA because I thought it would be a good sport to do after school and I also really enjoy running in different places.”
So far, they have run at Dodgers Stadium, La Puente, El Segundo and Whittier.
7th grader Jayden said, “ I like doing SRLA because I like to see how far I can push myself and how far I can run.”
SRLA is training for the 26.2 mile run.
7th grader Cesar said, “ I got inspired to join SRLA because he wanted to see if I can push my limits and wanted to run with my friends for fun.”
