Anyone can enjoy ice cream, a popular dessert. Students in Southeast Middle School took a poll on their favorite ice cream flavor. About 200 students responded.

The average American enjoys a simple vanilla, followed by chocolate and strawberry. It varies from person to person but many like those flavors due to how simple they taste. 

Sixth grader Brigite said, “I like vanilla because I find it plain and something I could easily choose.”

 People enjoy simple flavors more because they aren’t too intense or overwhelming. Vanilla is purchasable at almost every ice cream shop making it easy to get, although it can taste different sometimes.

Sixth grader Sophia said, “ I like cookies and cream because I like to have Oreos in my ice cream because I don’t really like a lot of plain stuff but I don’t like a lot of extra stuff too.”

The results of the poll showed that around 70 students favored cookies and cream, making it the most popular in the school. Although many students favored cookies and cream, a lot of other students liked chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla.

A lot of students like cookies and cream due to it having oreos in it and because it’s also just vanilla, and many people like vanilla for how simple it tastes.

Anyone can enjoy ice cream because a flavor exists for everyone!
