Usually during fall, people expect cold, sweater weather. But this year California has experienced summer-like temperatures. 

Ms. Avalos, science teacher said, “all the factories, releasing carbon dioxide the fact we are not taking care of the Earth’s health is contributing to all of that, at the rate that things are going right now I’m afraid that we’re not going to have resources and that the planet is going to become inhabitable at some point.”

The smoke produced by the factories and the actions of many people such as littering on streets or places with lots of plants affects the climate and even kills animals or bugs since they contribute to the environment and keep it stable. 

Also, people use a lot of water for many reasons. People use water for technology which is used in many peoples day to day life. Water is used in data centers so they can keep cool and not overheat. AI is also something that is used more often, which uses water too. 

DREAMS student Melinda Acevedo said “I feel a bit angry because, well, it’s fall, you’re supposed to feel the weather and do activities that are fall related, but you can’t do that because it’s hot now.”

Many fall activities can’t be enjoyed due to the hot weather which leaves some people upset, and many like the cold weather since it can be refreshing after a long hot summer. However since there have been what seem to be heatwaves it remains hot.

SEMS student Genesis Morales stated that it being hot during fall made it more difficult to get adjusted to the colder weather.

Going from hot weather to cold weather can be quite hard to adjust to, some get sick and someone’s mood can also change due to the weather. Many things can happen due to sudden weather changes.
