When a friend and I discovered this we asked each other if we would celebrate it. It got us wondering if other people would also celebrate this.
Tiny context for those who have never heard of a unicorn. They are mythical creatures that look like horses but they have a horn going through their head.
Unicorns and a pegasus may look similar but the main diffierents are pegasus having wings while unicorns have horns. If you want to learn more, watch “My Little Pony.”
We asked 8th grader Leah. H if she had ever had a unicorn phase in her younger years. She responded that she did have a big unicorn phase because she liked the color pink and imaged unicorns with pink mane due to movies.
We then asked 7th grader Marie. R if she would celebrate this holiday. She said that she would celebrate because her mom got her a unicorn-themed cup for her birthday but also because she also had a unicorn phase.
I believe that this should qualify as a holiday because unicorns symbolize freedom and joy. This could also lead to a fun holiday for little kids to participate in(my opinion).
I believe that Unicorn Day should qualify as a holiday because it would lead to a fun and silly little holiday to celebrate with friends and family. It would also move to a nice day to gather with your friends and family to celebrate (partner’s opinion).
If this was a holiday me and my partner believe that we should celebrate by getting a day off from school , buy or bake unicorn cupcakes or cake and go to the park, beach or lake for a picnic with friends and family.
You could also have a unicorn bake off with friends.
