¨I feel like when they crack them, it is hard to pick up and we don’t get control over it. I see it all the time in students’ hair so I have witnessed it. I think it’s not right. They should have some type of punishment and the school should do something about it,¨ said Afwante Maze, custodial worker.

Other people mentioned that it is not cool because of the big mess it can cause in the hallways which could make it extra work for the janitors.

¨ I have witnessed a lot of people get egged. I think it’s not right I think it’s not cool. We make the custodial workers do more work that they need to do, I don’t think that’s right or cool because they put flour on people because it is hard to take off,¨ said by Justin Geronimo eighth grader.

Besides the mess, there are other problems that the eggs cause.

”We’ve witnessed some kids get egged, it is a safety issue for the school because people crack it on the head and could get hurt eggs could start a fight and the itching powder some kids could be allergic to it, its a problem for the whole school its a problem for a janitors it becomes an issue and were missing learning time,” said Restorative Justice Coordinator Mr. Rios.

Kids use the confetti eggs because they find it funny. However,  the kids getting egged do not find it fun due to the mess it can cause on their clothes and hair.

¨l am aware of the confetti eggs, I think it is pretty fun but it could also be embarrassing, my friends had egged me after school and it was a little fun but it did take a while to clean up.¨

The people who use the confetti eggs do not think about what happens after using the eggs because they think it’s fun but do not think of who has to clean it up or how it may affect someone because they could be allergic, what could happen if they get caught and how it feels trying to get it off.

Instead of using the confetti eggs during school other things they could do is either do it outside a school instead during school or not use them at all.
