Southeast Middle School parents and teachers had conferences about their child’s progress and behavior on Oct 16 at Southeast Middle School
Parent teacher conferences allow a child, teacher, and parent to discuss the child’s progress in their class and behavior.
¨I think it can help the parents like what I was saying because to help give them advice on how to be better in school and get better grades,¨ seventh grader Sebastian said.
Some other suggestions that parents should support their child by helping out their child with homework or help them study.
¨Parents can try to help me with being better and doing better in class,¨ eighth grader James said.
Students, teachers, and parents can all come together to find a way to get their students to do better in class.
¨If their student is struggling then we can come up with a plan that helps their student improve and that everyone feels like they get what they need,¨ math teacher Ms. Dunn said.
Unlike the students, the teachers have hope that they get to see the parents.
¨I like the parents come in with questions,because sometimes I can have parent teacher conferences and I´m just sharing and sharing and sharing and they won’t stop me to ask questions,¨ sixth grade teacher Ms. Avalos said.
Parents asked about how their child assignments in class and how they act in class.
