The original date for the Glow In the Dark dance was on Feb. 19. Unfortunately, the dance had to be rescheduled to March 13 due to rainy weather.

Jeisson also stated that they asked the “Your Voice Matters club” , the homeroom rep club to vote for the theme of the dance. The majority of the club voted for a glow in the dark theme.

Alanis Ortega eighth grader said that “the dance was fun” and thought that it was better than all the previous dances she went to. She also said that “the decorations were really cool and creative”.

They had Ms. Diaz, the DREAMS art teacher, helped them decorate the MPR. They used lights to activate the paint made by the 7th graders.

Jason Edward, a 7th grader who helped work on the posters, stated that the dance was good and he went with his friends. He also said that the decorations came out really good and creative.

Mason Avina, also from Ms. Diaz class, said that “the dance was alright” and that there wasn’t really much to do there. “If you’re hungry I recommend the dance because they have food.”

The pre-sale tickets cost $2 but students who bought tickets at the door had to pay $4.

Jeisson said that the menu had pizza, soda, chips all for two dollars and water for one dollar.

Delilah Albizar stated that the “dance was great”and that she liked it because “I was able to hang out with her friends after school”. “I originally went to the winter wonderland dance and since that was fun I decided to go again.”

Most students had an opinion that this dance was better than all the previous dances because it was more interactive and more of their friends came to the dance.

A lot more students danced and participated in the activities at the dance more than the other dances.

Overall the dance turned out great based on all these opinions even though the dance had to be postponed. What’s your opinion on the dance?
