Students hope for their teachers to talk about their improvement.
¨I hope my teachers talk for me greatly and talk about the strengths I have in my classes and how I’m good at communicating. I hope it goes well, it’ll go well, nothing will happen. I think I have improved by my math skills in class,¨ eighth grader Isaac Hernandez said.
Some students had taken note since the last parent conference that they had needed to improve. Most students have while some, on the other hand, unfortunately have not improved.
“Yes, good because I am trying to improve, by being on time and doing my work, not really because I can’t stay focused in class, I hope it will go good because I’m trying,” eighth grader Nathan Urrutia said.
Some students like this struggle because they can not stay focused so parents can talk with them and discuss some ways to focus more in school so that they can improve their skills in school.
“I have noticed improvement with many of my students turning in their work on time and a lot of them asking about how they can do the work and how they can turn it in later, ” eighth grade English teacher Mr. Vaca said.
English serves as a class that makes people want to learn how to improve their skills because they have to improve for the SBAC that occurs later in the year.
Some kids do want to improve for the parent conference because they want a better grade and their parents’ approval. They also need to culminate if they are in Eighth grade.
“Since the last parent conference, I will have more nice things to say because I think I have a really good relationship with kids and I always kinda push them further,” Eighth grade English teacher and English coach Mr. Carranza said.
