Students in Southeast Middle School had problems with their chromebooks due to various reasons, but they had a solution.
Eighth grader Jamie Serrano said, ¨My mouse didn’t work at some point and my computer wanted a verification email. My experience at the tech room was horrible. The guy is nice but he’s never there or always on his lunch break!¨
Jamie’s experience going to get help did not go so well. Yes, they got help but they had multiple problems while they tried to get it fixed.
Seventh grader, Ashley Martinez said, ¨I couldn’t put in my password and I had to go to the tech guy to help me with my password. My experience was pretty good, it was pretty fast to fix it.¨
Compared to the last experience, this one went a lot smoother, and Ashley did not face any problems while getting her chromebook issues fixed.
Eighth grader Israel Parra explained that his computer got fixed because it had fallen down a flight of stairs and that his experience going to the tech room went great because Mr. Munoz had told him what to do in order to get it fixed, quick and easy.
When a student breaks a chromebook they get charged or have to do community service. They can do community service during Saturday school.
Mr. Munoz is the technician of the school, fixing chromebooks and helping with technology problems, mostly helping students out.
Mr. Munoz explained, ¨Working here is sometimes busy, pretty cool– you get to go all around campus, sometimes there’s a lot to do, sometimes chaotic, sometimes calm. I like it because it’s like problem solving, you kind of have to find out what’s the issue and how to fix it. You have to find out the steps to take to fix it.¨
Sometimes he gets called out to fix some other issues and goes around campus, leading to students having a hard time contacting him.
The amount of students he gets in a day could vary on what type of issue the chromebook is having to get it fixed.
