The school passed a rule on Aug. 14 where students have to wear uniforms.
“It was hard to identify which kid belonged to our school.” Mrs White-Holloman stated, “When kids wear uniforms it is easier to know which kid belongs to our school.”
Students originally wore uniforms at school up until 2020 when the school uniform became less of an expectation.
The kids at Southeast Middle School have mixed feelings about the uniform policy
“I don’t think uniforms help express who you are,” 6th grader Genesis said. “People have different styles and with uniforms you have to wear the same thing.”
Some students think the uniforms limit creativity, while others think uniforms do not.
“I think the uniforms are a good thing,” 6th grader Valentina Meza said. “More kids don’t get dress coded.”
You can buy uniforms either online or in person at Walmart, Target, Old Navy, and etc.
