Starting Nov. 8th, 2024 and ending December 13, 2024, Southeast Middle School started cozy Fridays, allowing students to wear pajamas. The school rewarded students for good behavior and fun.
Analia Valencia, an eighth grade DREAMS student looks forward to every Friday because of pajama day. She said, “Yeah, so I can relax, and you know, chill.”
Another student, Robert Soto, a seventh grader in DREAMS went on to agree that he would be planning to participate in every pajama Friday.
Finally, SEMS sixth grader Sophia Diaz answered whether she thought pajama days a good way to treat students. She responded with, “Yes, because I can just roll out of bed without having to worry about getting dressed in the morning.”
We also asked Mr. Medina, the magnet coordinator, what the reason for a pajama day every Friday. He explained that our staff have decided that this was a good way to end off this semester. He said “Why not?” when asked him the purpose of pajama day.
Students at Southeast glad and excited to be rewarded with cozy pajama days as a great way to end the school week.
