Monday, January 29th was an exhilarating day for students. The tickets for the Valentine’s Day friendship dance were being sold! To attend the dance you must purchase a ticket, which costs 4 dollars per person.
One of the students from leadership, Nicholas Mendoza, an 8th grader, explained that leadership chose the theme, platonic Valentine’s Day, they will be decorating in honor of that theme but they will also be decorating with a romantic tone.
Nicholas Mendoza also explained that they came up with the idea to hold a friendship dance because they wanted

to bond people together and because they wanted people to enjoy the people they have around them while they have them.
A 7th grader who attended the dance explained that she was having a good time dancing with her friend, the only thing she would change would be that there were more activities for people who can’t dance. A friend group who attended added they would change was the prices of the food. 8th grader Richard R. said the dance was enjoyable and he would also change the food prices.
