Yearbook class is Ms. Lipp’s seventh-period class. This class focuses on journalism and managing the yearbook. We thought it was a new development, but there was a journalism class before, in the school’s early years.
For the yearbook, before the creation of this class, Mr. Medina used to manage the yearbook with a handful of students.
“In different ways, it was a class. It was a variety of different things, so in some cases, it would be a club.” Mr. Medina talked about managing the yearbook before the creation of the yearbook class.
As for journalism, we asked Mr. Rosener, who has worked at the school for 20 years, and former student Mr. Carmelo for answers. They both confirmed that there was a journalism class and a school newspaper before.
“In the first year or two, there was a journalism class and they tried to do a newspaper.” Mr. Rosener told us. Mr. Carmelo confirmed that there was a journalism class and a newspaper in the years that he went there as a student.
