“I joined E-Sports for the fun and the competition…the finals were alright but they changed the rounds because the bus was all late,” stated Javier Diaz, 7th grader.
Currently our school has 2 teams for E-sports each team having 3 players with 2 extras for substitutes.

The games would take place after school from 3:20-4:45, and on Mondays the players would play their games. They focused on Rocket League because that is what they played on in the competition.
“I mean its a great way to like play games while your at school,” stated Arturo Garcia, 8th grader.
“It’s fun and we just play games and win,” stated Santiago Garcia, 8th grader.
Mr. Ortiz-Sandoval, one of the coaches, described the finals: “We made it through the first two rounds of the playoffs without any problems and as the #1 team we made it into the Quarter Finals. We flew by our competition in the Quarters and in the Semi Finals… Sadly, we lost in the Finals on a technicality, the tournament was running out of time and they had to shorten the game time in the finals… So we didn’t reach our goal and we placed 2nd place over all with only one loss in the finals.”
Even if certain people aren’t in the team, many students at the school are still determined and excited

to become good gamers.
”It was really fun because I got to do exercises with my friends on the Wii Sports,” said Osmin Chavez, 8th grader.
”I like them because they’re very intense because the way you shoot other people and they die you know like and you also tryna win,” said Ethan Marroquin, 8th grader.
