For those who don’t know what Hamlet regards , it’s basically about Hamlet trying to get revenge on his uncle for killing his dad, so think about it as the Disney movie, The Lion King.

So Ms. Lawrence’s class found a silly version based on Shakespeare’s Hamlet where the lead protagonist is a female.

We asked Ms.Lawrence why she chose this play, she replied that she didn’t pick the play but her students did.

We then asked her about her experience directing the play. She replied that it’s a fun experience and that it’s a

really good group of kids who work hard and are doing what they need to do and she has been enjoying it.

Jiaenea. H said that she plays Hamlette and Arturo. R plays Horatio, the friend of Hamlette.

We then asked her class what the play was about and her student Axel Martinez said that their play talks about a girl whose mom makes her pretend to be a boy because back then women were treated badly and Hamlette doesn’t like that and her dad died and she goes through a journey and she finds out about her uncle and everything.

We then asked them how they felt about the play so far and Jason. E said there’s a lot of chaos you won’t want to miss or like to learn more about. We lastly asked what the experience has been for them and Isabell. P said that she has experienced memorization.
