Students had to have animals, crops to feed the people, weapons, etc. Classes who attended were asked to answer specific questions about the posters and find which ones they thought followed each goal. Below are some of the questions the audience answered:
Which kingdoms had the best strategies to combat the different scenarios(15000 people army)?
What kingdom has the best weapons to support their strategies?
Which kingdom has the best food supplies to support its 50,000 people in the kingdom?
Once these votes were counted and the winner was declared and Mr.Valenzuela bought pizza as the winning prize.

Jessie and Jocelyn were excited their kingdom won the war: “It felt amazing I started jumping everywhere. Somebody actually flipped the table for some random reason.”
They then discussed how they won: “We tried to find good battle strategies and make good vegetation and food sources for our kingdom.” Andrew and Roman added “We tried to make good battle charges by sending strategic warriors into good positions.”
When asked about their biggest difficulties, Jessie and Jocelyn stated, “Probably the hesitation we had in choosing things and how we were going to find ways for our kingdom not to be destroyed by others.” Andrew and Roman detailed further “The most difficult part of building our kingdom was making sure that walls fully covered our kingdom.
Mr. Valenzuela explains how he came up with the project: “I get bored and think students enjoy competition, so it just lets them have fun and not sit down the whole time in class.”
He looks forward to “how creative do students get if they actually colored and glued everything together and didn’t just pull it from the internet?”
He mentioned he was surprised by the winner. “2nd place Avalon was the kingdom I expected to win. I graded them for the class rate and they were the highest scoring but then the teacher-student votes made them second so I wasn’t mad.”
