Valentine’s Day is one day out of the week when you can give gifts to your friends or partner and get a lot of chocolate!
7th Grader Marbelie said her opinion on the day. “It’s alright… it’s a nice day to celebrate the couples.” When asked how she celebrates Valentine’s Day, she said that she celebrates Valentine’s Day like a normal day.
8th Grader, Arturo said that he doesn’t like Valentine’s Day because it just never made sense to him but he gets candy.
8th Grader Axel said Valentine’s Day was whatever because he usually does not do anything on Valentine’s Day. When asked how he celebrates Valentine’s he responds with either he goes out or he stays in his bed watching Netflix.
8th Grader Kaitlyn said that her opinion on Valentine’s Day is that she doesn’t know. When asked how she celebrates it, she said she usually hangs out with her friends.
8th Grader Jimena said she loves Valentine’s Day. When asked how she celebrates Valentine’s Day she said she buys gifts for her friends and mom.

Then we interviewed leadership member Kayli on the Valentine’s Day grams. She said, “Valentine’s Day grams are letters and roses and teddy bears.” We then asked how much everything costs. She said, “Candy and message are $1.00, the rose and the message are $3.00, and the teddy bear and message are $5.00.” Then we asked about the process and how it’s going to work. She said, “We’re going to write names on the stuff and pass them around during the homeroom on the 14th.”
Leadership member Anderson was asked about the Friendship Dance: “The reason they’re dancing is so kids can have fun and the tickets are $3.00 and you can get them either in the back of the MPR during rainy days or in front to the side of the MPR.” Then we asked when the dance was and he responded “It will be on the 14th of February.”
