I spoke with three of the SRLA coaches and they spoke highly of the 5K while being optimistic that the 10K would be another success. They also spoke on the importance of training, dedication, and setting goals with the main goal of SRLA being to run the LA marathon.
Mr. Zamudio talked about being ready for the run, which will take a lot of training. When asked about his thoughts on the 10K, he answered “I’m nervous as always, since we have to make sure that the kids are ready and that they all reach the finish line.”

We then asked Mr. Munguia about how the 5K went and he replied “It was really great to see so many students and so many people being involved in the 5K.We just had an immense amount of students and staff and it was great for everyone collaborating together and having that great mindset that they could accomplish great things in life.”
Overall, it looks like Students Run LA can complete the 10K with a good time if they have enough dedication and training. With enough support, hard work, and effort, you can do anything. SRLA has shown itself to be an example of this, and they continue to run and work hard.
