Did you know November houses National French Toast and Raisin Bran Cereal Day? In honor of these interesting holidays, we asked Southeast students about their thoughts towards breakfast.
Students mentioned their ideal breakfasts consisted of waffles, pancakes with sausage and eggs, then others paired eggs with toast, and two others said they enjoyed french toast.

Do You Eat The School Breakfast
Christian Gutierrez, a DREAMS seventh grader, said, “Yeah, but I eat it at home because the school isn’t that good.”
Leslie Gudino, another DREAMS sixth grader said, “Typically I just drink the juices, not the breakfast.”
Lastly, Leilah Flores, an eighth grade DREAMS student said, “Yes I do, because it’s good and nice to eat in the morning to boost your energy up.”
Aubrey Martinez, a sixth grader from SEMS said, “No, because it don’t look good and it tastes wack.”
Allyson Cerna from SEMS and seventh grade said, “Yes, sometimes I don’t have time to make something in the morning so I eat it at school.”
Lastly, Elijah Rosales, a seventh grader from SEMS said, “Only when I don’t at home.”
How Can The School Encourage More Students To Eat Breakfast
Leslie responded with the idea, “I think they can have votes like on what they want.”
Leilah stated, “I think what the school should do is provide food that the students would like to eat and if not, tell them facts like the one you did.”
The fact we told the interviewees included, “Did you know eating breakfast helps you perform better?”
Allyson said, “Make better quality breakfast because sometimes the coffee cakes are dry and so are other stuff.”
Elijah told us, “They should probably see which breakfasts are most popular and serve those.”
