Parent conferences occurred at Southeast Middle School on Thursday, February 20th.
Parent conferences are when parents go to their child’s school and talk with their child’s teachers about their grades and how they do in every subject, daily participation and cooperation.
Students either get worried or are extremely proud of their grades on their progress report card and in class to show their parents when that day comes.
Some students such as Mikel G., DREAMS 6th Grader and Jaelyn C., DREAMSĀ 6th Grader find it difficult to keep their grades up. Other students like Santos, SEMS 6th grader and Robin A., SEMS, 6 grader, have no problem keeping them in order. But, they all feel they did really well on their progress report card for their parents to see on the day of the conference.
Parents conferences are important because they can help improve a students academic performance. If they are doing well, they can continue to go down a path of sucess, feeling good about themselves.
