Friendship Valentine’s Day takes place on Feb. 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day. This holiday celebrates showing your love for your platonic relationships instead of romantic ones.
You can show your appreciation for the people you love by giving gifts or spending time together because sometimes, people don’t appreciate platonic relationships enough.
Almost all the people questioned did not know about Pal-Entine’s Day, yet they all mentioned someone they cared

about.
Besties! Could You Tell Us Who Your Best Friend Is?
Most students have friends and one of them, or maybe even more, serve as a special someone to them. All the students featured had someone to talk about, shouting them out.
Katherine Baza answered, “She doesn’t go here but I’ve known her since kindergarten.”
Jocelyn Guerra responded, “I only care for this girl named Alexa because she’s been with me since the start.”
Daniel Hernandez told us, “His name is Dylan and he’s my best friend because he’s funny and cool.”
Platonic relationships have the same importance that romantic relationships have, especially on pal-entine’s day! In school environments, relationships celebrated on pal-entine’s day exist everywhere, even after the holiday.
Another seventh grader, Harmony Galindo, replied, “Her name is Samantha and she’s been my best friend since elementary.”
Now, we move onto the teachers who provided us with their best friends.
Mr. Vargas simply answered, “Mr. Dang.”
Mr. Dang, an eighth grader teacher, said, “I care about my friendship with Mr. Vargas.”
As many of their students know, Mr. Vargas and Mr. Dang are close friends and serve as a great example of platonic friendship.
Are You Going To Celebrate With Anyone?
Katherine Baza said a friend named Eileen and Jocelyn Guerra mentioned her friend Alexa. Additionally, Harmony Galindo said she’d spend this holiday with another friend and Daniel Hernandez responded with no.
The majority of our interviews mentioned the importance of friends and platonic relationships. Responses like these show how much people cherish their friends in their every day lives.
On this day, platonic relationships get to become the star. These relationships shine brightly, either between friends or families they’re quite prominent.
Earlier in our article, Katherine Baza and Harmony Galindo talked about their best friends from elementary school. Despite parting from each other and moving onto the next step in their academic journey, they still remembered them. This shows the impact that platonic friendships have on our lives and it shows the reason why these friendships should be in the spotlight.
