Where do you think the food goes?

Jayleen Nolasco, an eighth grader DREAMS student, thinks, “the food usually goes in the trash right after the end of the day.”
Derek Morales, seventh grader DREAMS student, said, “I never really thought about that.”
Abdiel, seventh grader DREAMS student, said, “I do not know the refrigerator.”
After conducting a private interview with one of the lunch ladies, they say they store any cold food that can be saved for later. milk, yogurt, etc. They toss warm foods away.

Do you think the food goes bad, aka expired?
“Yes.” Jayleen answered, “I tasted the food and felt it gone bad before.”
Derek answered, “Because if it went bad, why would they be giving it to us?”
Do you think the school food is healthy or unhealthy?
Abdiel said, “Healthy.” Why? “Because they give you options what you can get.”
We have to be mindful of what we waste and what we can save for others. We suggest donating food to people who need it.
