Would you go to UCLA for a day?
On Friday April, 4th 2025 8th grade students had the chance to visit the campus for EAOP to and visit the Hammer Museum.
EAOP stands for Early Outreach Academic Program. UCLA made this program to help students figure out their career, future, or what college, university, or trade school they may want to attend.
The Hammer Museum is a site located near the UCLA campus filled with unique pieces of art that UCLA owns.

Maria Abrego Orellana went to the Hammer Museum and said, “My favorite piece of art was the Lobby mural which represented a Chicano/Hispanic community.”
She continues, “ The campus was really nice, and it was huge. I definitely see myself going in the future because seeing the day in the life of all the college students influenced me to join this school.”
Lea Narvaez also went to the Hammer Museum and stated, “My favorite piece of art was the blue coat, because it was sentimental to her because it had previously belonged to her dad.”

Lea said, “I probably see myself going to UCLA because there are a lot of opportunities for me there.”In what ways did the UCLA EAOP help you?
During the trip students visited many land marks such as the campus’s bear statue, Royce Hall, and the music library.
Yeira Aguiniga went to the UCLA EAOP field trip and said, “That trip kinda did help me figure out where I want to go because the campus was nice and I want to go to a campus that looks nice.”
Zoey Bedetti also attended the EAOP field trip and said, “ At the beginning of the day we met our guides and started off the tour… We visited many buildings and libraries, saw meteorites, and they gave the EAOP students food court vouchers.”
