Do you know a special day that passed already sadly? Perhaps about a movie franchise that’s almost a century old. That’s right you MAY have guessed it may fourth aka MAY the fourth be with you, STAR WARS DAY.
It was created after many fans noticed that it sounded a lot like the phrase which was constantly uttered in the franchise, ¨May the force be with you.¨ Once that happened the special day was created to celebrate.
The Star Wars movies in chronological order go as follows, TPM, AOC, and ROTS. Episodes 1-3 set up events that cause the entirety of the original trilogy and have characters that impact episodes 4-6. Finally, and to most least. Episodes 7-9, which some fans argue are the worst, but opinions differ.
Many Star Wars fans who celebrate May 4 for example Mr Dang celebrates by wearing Star Wars attire that day, and Ms. Diaz also likes to do that they both mention it in their interview. Mr. Dang Responded to the question “Do you celebrate Star Wars Day?” with “I usually wear my shirt and go around telling people that.” and Ms Diaz responded the same way.
Starwars Day or May the Fourth brings so many people all around the world together. Just look at Disney Land they even celebrate it they have special events and decorate they also put out new stuff they sell just for that one day they act as if It’s a National holiday. Isn’t that so cool?
Star Wars is a constantly expanding franchise and universe, with new canon entries coming out almost monthly there’s no wonder it’s still so big, it’s constantly changing, and while sometimes it may be in the distaste of some fans it still has a loyal fandom. In fact, Star Wars Day was created by the fans until Disney took notice and made money off it!
